In living colour…

February 24, 2008

My first official video blog posting for Adv. Social Journalism. I decided to briefly talk about the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Mats Sundin no trade clause. Normally, I don’t do anything sports related for school work, but I am a Leafs fan (sorry…) and this will have a major impact on the future of the team. Plus as the trade deadline approaches, it’s becoming a much more heated issue, so I thought it would be fun to put in my two cents.

    Hey Dan!

Well done. Nice to hear about the Mat Sundin trade. Love your background! :)

    A few comments:

-Would be nice to hear you get a bit more animated in your tone. A little less monotone would make it more interesting for your viewers.
-Try to speak in a way that would enlighten people who don’t know about the Sundin trade. Pretend you’re explaining it to someone who hasn’t heard about it… would make it a bit more ‘meaty’ if you will.

Tags were good, description on YouTube was good and you hit all the topics in your video blog. Headline…hmmm.. not so great. Remember that you’re pulling readers into your post with the headline – don’t you think it would’ve been better to reference what you’re talking about – ie. the Mat Sundin issue as opposed to referencing the media used to tell the story?

Good work! Look forward to the next one.

    7/9
